Diversifying forestry’s workforce is a pressing business issue for companies of all sizes across Canada. Encouraging women and people of all backgrounds to consider a career in our industry will mean big changes to how companies recruit, train, and retain their employees.
Our second annual Women in Forestry Virtual Summit taking place online March 8 is one tool that decisionmakers can use to better understand these changes and how to implement them in their companies.
Join us March 8 as we welcome back hundreds of forestry changemakers – women and men who are looking for inspiration and advice on fostering inclusion in our industry and reaping all the innovation that comes from it.
This year we will hear from the BC Council of Forest Industries’ Susan Yurkovich on the corporate career path, Akua Nature’s Melanie Paul on Indigenous inclusion, Free to Grow in Forestry’s Kelly Cooper and Canadian Institute of Forestry’s Doug Reid, and many others.
